February 14, 2020 - Herbaceous but not green. On it's way down but still tons of fruit.
December 14, 2019 - 9th Annual Holiday Dinner and Cellar Raid (Naperville, IL): Part of wine dinner and cellar raid so did not take detailed notes. This was up there with the Revolver (the Fury), although most preferred the former. It's been 9 years since I had this asn I'd say it is just as good today as it was then
September 6, 2018 - Still drinking nicely though I don't think this has developed over the last 7 years. But good wine, happy to drink it.
December 31, 2016 - Very nice library wine from the Owen Roe wine club. Blueberry, plum, tobacco, green pepper, quite good. Drink now - 2018.
November 23, 2016 - Deep garnet with some bricking at rim. 20% new American oak (noticeable, but not overwhelming), with dusty soft tannins, cassis, other sweet and ripe black fruits, vanilla, cracked pepper. A bit boring, and definitely new world in style. Not my thing, but good to have tried.
April 19, 2015 - This still needs some cellaring, or decanting. Lovely wine, truly Franc aromas of roses and red fruit. Plenty of earth, a few hours in the fruit turned from bright red to more of a stewed blueish variety. Expecting this to get better for 2-3 years.
December 12, 2014 - A really great showing for this wine. Not decanted and was ready to ago with 20-30 minutes of air. Great nose with pepper and floral notes. Dark fruit notes are full, but not overdone, and mixed nicely with the secondary notes. Nice long finish.
November 28, 2013 - awesome awesome wine. the aromas really kicked started a beautiful easy good cab franc. i loved the soft tannins. good wine
October 9, 2013 - Big floral and red fruit nose followed by a dry palate with spice and tannins. This is an interesting mix of spice, tannins and floral flavors. Quite tasty.
June 9, 2013 - One hour decant. Ruby color. Med/Fast legs. Has changed up a little bit since my last note a year and a half ago. Vegital, Strawberry, Blackberry and Vanilla nose. Tastes of Blackberry, Plum, Strawberry and Oak. Excellent balance. Soft texture. Long finish.
