March 12, 2022 - The second of three vintages drunk with friends to accompany lamb shanks. (2005, 2001, 1990). Deliberately opened only 15 minutes before serving, the colour was pale ruby, the aromas filled the room and it was clear that this had kept well. Light red berry fruit, soft, quite long. Lasted well in the glass. Excellent.

May 27, 2021 - Really nice wine nearing the end of it's maturity. Not flawed at all, but I was glad to have caught it just now. Slight notes of chocolate on top of being a very fint typical representative for mature Bordeaux. Accompanied lamb tenderloin with pommes dauphinoise very well.

August 1, 2019 - Still ruby red, heavy sediment, orange rim. Gentle hints of decay, mouth filling, dry at the edges. Some extra nuance of forest and cigar, but suspect at its peak 10 years ago. Enjoyable (finished the bother !) and different because mature but more enjoyable younger.

May 11, 2015 - Drank with friends as part of a 6 bottle vertical. This was the only bottle of the 6 vertical for which I did not know the provenance. So I was not very surprised to find the nose initially very farmyard and manure, though this soon passed to give some reasonable fruit and a pleasant palate. Maybe I expected more for this 1990, perhaps I am being unreasonable. Drink soon if you have any.
