Community Tasting Notes 3

October 23, 2011 - Has aged surprisingly well. Still dark with only a slight hint of a mature rim. Plums, marcipan and rum on the nose and the palate mirrors this. Medium finish. Drink now.

October 26, 2008 - A nice, dense port but with little depth. Has a certain smoothness that clearly indicates that it is a quality wine and the acid has developed and softned. Driven cork and will keep and develop for a few more years, but drinks nicely now.

December 18, 2004 - A private dinner (Restaurant Châlet Royal *, Den Bosch, Netherlands): Rich saturated purple; plums, cinnamon, clove, chocolate, semi-sweet, deep, good lovely concentration, good weight, ripe tannins, slightly hard; good length, complete, lovely sweet fruit. Drink now - 2010+.
