Community Tasting Notes 2

October 4, 2011 - Drank with grilled pork chops & sliced potatoes and roasted broccoli. Decanted for an hour before drinking over a couple hours. Initially an aroma of red raspberry and tart cherry, along with some allspice. As it developed over drinking, it turned into more of a black raspberry taste with some chocolate. It seems as though the merlot came through more as it got more air. Still had a bit of tartness in the finish, and was showing a hint of tobacco as well. This probably should have been held off on drinking for another year or so. If drinking, I would recommend a couple hour decant.

January 26, 2011 - Decanted 30 miutes prior to consmption. Was hoping for more given year, region, producer. Soft supple tanninns with and earthy cherry palate. Muted nose. Didn't open much during the night. @20/btl unless second night shows improvement, I wouldn't purchase again.
