June 5, 2020 - My seventh and final bottle. I lucked out, no oxidation at all in this bottle. The wine is still evolving, and it was hard to discern the type of fruit flavours on show here: it was more about the creamy, pure, balanced texture of the wine. There were nutty notes, almost a la Burgundy, and even a touch of the Musar blanc type flavours too. Ready now - if you get a solid bottle - but it should last a little while yet too. Always an intriguing, singular wine (A-/A).

August 22, 2018 - Very rich, nutty and complex but the modest oxidation was polarizing for our group. My bottle, and I was disappointed.

July 21, 2018 - Clear medium yellow. Definetly more oxed then the 01 Tondonia but also more interesting and rich. Pears, butter, lemon and pineapple nose and creamy orchard fruit flavours. The finish was lingering because there seemed to be more richness then acid.

November 5, 2016 - Still fresh and lively - don't serve it too cold or you'll lose the creaminess and depth of flavour.

    (R. López de Heredia Rioja Blanco Viña Gravonia) Medium golden color; ripe pineapple, VA, tart baked lemon, lanolin nose, with oxidation; a little oxidized, tart lemon, tangy palate with medium acidity and firm tannins; medium-plus finish

(Lopez de Heredia Vina Gravonia) #2; COLOR-medium to dark golden; NOSE-quite stinky and funky; PALATE-this is a nerd wine; very intriguing; olive oil; gasoline; Vaseline; very interesting flavor profile; has almost a sherry-like flavor component that gives it subtle butterscotch and caramel components on the finish; very elegant; phenomenal pairing with the black licorice; really coats the palate; really nice wine for $19 bones; GV-89
