November 29, 2018 - This bottle pretty much matches the one we drunk in 2017. Same great nose with leather, earth, baked cherries, and the palate is full of dark fruit and a mineral quality as well as some sweetness contrasting with the dryness.

October 27, 2018 - In a good place. Gave it 6 hours in a medium wide decanter, and the dark fruit( I agree with a note below, Dark baked Cherry and Leather) became more the focus. with a Ragu the wine complimented well, but also showed even better. Not sure where this is going, but seems like it is ready for prime time. Its on the simple side

November 4, 2017 - Ruby red. Fruity aromas with autumn leaves, tobacco and minerals. Reminds of a Barolo in style, but without the typical Barolo aromas of tar and liqourice. Delicate, vivid and elegant on the palate, with balancing acidity. Has developed nicely and is better than previous bottles.

July 2, 2017 - A greatly evolved aglianico.... Nose is big -- with dark baked cherry, leather, earth. A bit of tar leaping from nose to palate, so to speak, with the palate then having more dark fruit, plus minerality, contrasting with the inherent sweetness of aglianico. Definitely has a tannic ending that, even though it is substantive, it is well integrated and a lovely ending to the flavors.
