March 3, 2013 - Nose is dark berry and jam with hint of anise and spice, palette is surprisingly medium dry with a firm backbone and not jammy at all nice dark berry tones and smooth tannins

October 16, 2011 - Old school meets New school in this style of Zinfandel. Big, ripe black fruit flavors melded with American oak. Smell blackberries, plum, caramel, vanilla, dill, and a hint of black licorice. Heavy mouth-feel, thick and rich on the palate. Low acidity and medium tannin profile, and finishes a little boozey but not enough to be a deterrent. Solid wine, great for simple grilling or as a stand alone.

May 21, 2010 - Very underwhelmed considering its price point
