February 13, 2024 - This one is on the other side of the perfect window now. Short decant. Lack of structure vs other years and is going hard toward raisins and stewed plums. Fruit is gone.

July 2, 2023 - Good pull on cork which has held up wonderfully. Ready out of the gate. Nice fruit and balanced great. Love the fruit at 16 years. Thickness to this but just a density of extract and its not fruit forward at this stage, but has held a decent amount since bottled, or for me, last sampled in 2016. Evolved might be a better description, the way one hopes a good wine will do.
Bouquet of earth and meat and fungus or mushroom, an earthy feel. Age has done this well. Some white border or perhaps bricking in glass at rim. Legs ran medium. Looking forward to each sip. Dirty burgundy. Slightly tart on finish which last over 30 seconds. 2007 wines are real deal. -

April 8, 2023 - With age this is quite round. Still clearly new world but with some level of finesse.

February 25, 2023 - 30 minutes decant
Same owner as Harlan.
Nose of cherry interwoven with wood, cedar, like when you put your nose in the sound chamber of a guitar, peppercorn, flower, juniper, blackberry, blueberry, well integrated nose, nothing obtrusive. Beautiful, sweet and captivating aroma.
Cherry, licorice, thick, bright, sweet strawberry, blueberry, minerals, well structured. In a good place and ready for enjoyment. With that said, this wine still has the structure to continue to develop and improve for the next 5 - 10 years but it is already beautiful now. I wished I have more of this. -

October 2, 2022 - There were aspects of this wine that I liked, but it did not provide much overall drinking pleasure. Earthy, plummy mature fruit, a complexity on the nose and palate. Noticeable tannins and acid and seemed slightly out of balance to me. Like perhaps it needed more time, but I am not sure the fruit would hold up.
