May 15, 2020 - Pale garnet in the glass. Very nice nose, spicy, "umami", balsamic strawberries, earth, good freshness and intensity. Elegant on the palate, medium-bodied, savory red fruit, fine tannins, still good freshness. A bit bitter on the medium length finish. Maybe slightly past its best, but still very well balanced, persistent and enjoyable. Drink up.

November 29, 2019 - Friday night session at Maison Dakota with the usual wine gang. Pop and poured. Drank over 3 hours. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted blind.
Appearance is not clear, fine sediments, medium itnensity, garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of old elather, earth, soy sauce, balsamic herbs, red plums, red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), sweet integrated medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of spice, balsamic, Oregano, soy sauce, ripe red cherries, red plums, mushroomy earth. Long finish.
Very very good quality. Such a classic Brunello. Clearly 90s. Drinking at peak now. Drink up and enjoy before it goes downhill.

March 12, 2007 - Easily the finest bottle I have consumed out of my collection. Great tannins still going strong - it blended perfectly with the fruitiness of the Sangiovese grapes. WOW! Tasted this immediately after a 1994 Beringer PR Cab, and the Col D'Orcia was superior.
