September 12, 2020 - Brought to a restaurant for corkage and decanted. High quality fruit ranging from black cherry to plum to currant. Integrated and fairly seamless. At this point it feels like it has years to go, though beyond the excellent fruit, there's not a ton of complexity (yet).

September 6, 2020 - Brings me back to the winery. The wine is clear. Medium plus aroma intensity. The color is purple. The aromas are of cedar, smoke, yeast and dark fruits including blackberry, cassis, and black cherry. The wine is dry, medium acid. The tannins have softened, and are pleasant (medium). Alcohol is medium. Body is medium +. The flavors match the aromas. The wine is very well balanced after an hour of decanting. Finish is long. I have one more bottle. This wine will continue to age well. I will try my next bottle in 3-5 years.

July 30, 2020 - What a fantastic wine. Came exactly as advertised... a Napa classic from one of the icons of the region. Lush, sexy fruit with some age on it, tobacco, cassis, red clay all in the nose. Long finish of a velvety midlic tannic gorgeous wine.

July 1, 2020 - A big styled wine with well integrated tannins. Nice notes of spice and cocoa on top of the core of ripe darker fruits. Best at cellar temp after 90 minute decant.

June 22, 2020 - Very good though lighter in body than previous Hillsides. Tasted a myriad of different flavors. That was signature of bottle.

June 12, 2020 - Approximately 1 hour decant. Beautiful nose of jammy dark fruit as well as some spice and flowers. Tastes of predominantly dark fruit along with notes of earth and anise. Modest acidity. Tannins nicely integrated. Long aftertaste. A gorgeous wine enjoyed at SeaBlue with Lisa and Claire.

December 27, 2019 - Dinner at Tuck Point with Peter, Hande, Lucille and of course K. Wonderful evening and a special bottle of wine, although I thought it best after 90 minutes or so and somewhat jammy after 2 hours. I’m going to hold on the next bottle for a couple of years, or at least that’s my story now.
