  December 25, 2020 - Properly cellared since delivery direct from winery in 2007. Opened for Xmas lunch 2020. 2 hour breathe within the bottle. Deep garnet colour, dark cherry flavour notes, silky tannins, long finish. Heidi Barrett signatures throughout. A pleasant lack of the vinegary after notes that mystifyingly plagues some of the top tier Cali cabs of mid 2000 vintage. Prime drinking now. Opened 2 of its siblings over the last 18 months and would say on the basis of this 3 data point trajectory that the fruit is on a slowly receding path so perhaps best to be enjoyed in the current timeframe

  April 16, 2017 - Dark purple-violet. Nose of raspberry jam. Sweet intense red fruits, cinnamon, poupourri, and out of place elements of star fruit. Very intense on the front palate. Easy and pleasant drinker.

  November 15, 2015 - Wonderful nose on opening, good fruit and polished tannins, structure is fading though so probably on the backside of drinking window. Very elegant for a new world wine.

  October 25, 2014 - Nose similar to other top notch napa wines. Major vanilla up front but not overpowering as deep black fruit came through. Tasted lots of nutmeg and some cocoa on finish. Thick mouthfeel. Just a great experience. Was great with duck but did Overwhelm the cheese course. Would love to have another!
