Community Tasting Notes 8

May 28, 2018 - Beautiful, complex; notes of blueberry, eucalyptus(or herbs of some sort), perhaps cigar box. Tastes similar. It seemed to integrate better in the mouth with a giganto ribeye vs drinking alone. Furthermore it fell off pretty hard after about 2-3 hours in a decanter. Very nice wine, but drink up.

May 2, 2013 - Our last. Smooth. Soft nose. No flaws or significant sediment. No rim variation. Soft on fruit flavors. No tannin. Low alcohol. Short finish.

November 21, 2012 - Consumed at the SAFW Reunion . Aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, cinnamon, pepper, spice and oak. Soft and well integrated tannins. A long finish. A nice wine, but over-priced. JMO.

February 27, 2010 - Danny didn't have a chance to decant before dinner @ Solea. Fabien, our waiter decanted, and we left it for last, after Beaucastel 2007 Blanc, and 97 Cardinale. Was leery of this wine based on poor CT comments, but good professional reviews. Heidi Peterson Barret wine. Following the 2 hr decant wine opened up, and was excellent, but clearly an overpriced Merlot($200), comparable to Roland's Long Shadow's Pedestal($55-60) and inferior to Petrolo Galatrona.

    The wine looks Garnet colored.
    The legs are Slow.
It smells like Red Currant, and Blueberry.
It tastes like Blueberry, and Red Currant.
    The body is Medium/Full.
    The wine is textured Polished.
    The wine finishes Long.
