March 27, 2022 - Pleasant bouquet influenced by the Cab Franc. Ripe and sweet fruit. Acid minus. Round mouthfeel and delicious.I enjoyed the bottle. Drink soon.

October 16, 2021 - Decanted for sed, minimal. Gorgeous nose of red fruits and white flowers. Beautiful napa cab in a sweet spot tonight. Front to back, great balance. This was the consensus WOTN. Went well with the bbq meats. Glad I have another!

March 8, 2021 - Opened 30mins before dinner and decanted, tannins all but gone. Smooth, full of flavor, great mouth. Dark berries, Raspberry/strawberry, hint of chocolate, smokey oak and cedar notes.

September 11, 2020 - Decanted and then followed over the course of 90 mins. Lighter in color, there's red fruit, damp forest floor and faint wood on the nose.

The red fruit remained in the background during my brief drinking window, but there was still an elegant backbone that provided a shallow 20 second+ finish. As with my last tasting ~3 years ago, this shows as a bordeaux blend. I'd drink in the coming year or so, unless the end of the bottle opens up further with more air.

November 19, 2017 - Pop and pour; this needed 15-30 mins of air (not decanted) to open up and improve dramatically. Finesse and layering make it evident that this is a Bordeaux blend, with cigar, tea, saddle leather and aged wood all prominent flavors. Shows a nice balance between fruit and structure, with notable complexity; its complexity has prompted me to push its rating above my initial 92, but it doesn’t have the depth of some finer hillside wines (Dunn, Foley. Switchback), though admittedly all cab’s. Continued to evolve during a 2.5 hour drinking window, but I believe this is at its peak and is best consumed by 2019.
