February 12, 2023 - This is Terrasse du Diable’s sweet spot in my view - 15 years give or take a few - and holds true even for a weak vintage like 2008. Fennel and sage aromas evident immediately, followed by heat and peppery spice, finishing with remnants of deep and alluring blackberry. I’ve been opening my Southern Rhone 2008s with haste but this one above all did not need to be rushed.
