  August 23, 2020 - Chateauneuf du Pape lunch (Frank's place in Matraville): From Coravin. Slightly sour red berries and red currant, sweet spice, garrigue, quite fresh herbs, earth...the longer this is in the glass the more savoury the nose gets. In the mouth it's tannic and dense, quite drying with savoury dark fruits beneath this accompanied by a little herbaceousness. Hmm.

  April 4, 2020 - From Coravin. Ripe, a little primary, wood glue, volatility, biscuit, cherry, meaty notes, a little herbaceousness. Juicy, dense, thick, this is a lot sweeter fruited, tannic burr on the mid palate, that herbaceous note is not so obvious on the palate. Okay.

  January 31, 2019 - Annual Coravin blitz - day one (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Slightly herbaceous with black pepper spice, sharp blackberry and jubey red berries backed by wet earth. Fresh, savoury, juicy, deeply spiced with similar fruit and a touch of alcohol warmth accompanied by lightweight but bitter and slightly drying tannins. Mmm

  December 8, 2017 - Coravin fun - White Burgundy and Red CndP (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Ooh, smells wet…biscuit, herbaceous, slightly unripe red berries…and so it proves on the palate - slight sour and herbaceous, fruit more subdued, acid a little sharp and intrusive. Reminds me of the 2006 Les Cailloux. Interesting.
