April 16, 2019 - Decanted 5 hours ahead. Still youthful, but approachable now.

December 12, 2018 - Wine had a very nice aroma and showed nicely on the palette after some time in the glass [about an hour].

March 16, 2018 - Improved from last time we had it. Good red fruit -- cherries and currants -- with smoke, tobacco and a little earth. I don't find this as mature as some do. Perhaps it will drink a little better with some more time?

January 27, 2018 - Popped and poured. This is drinking very well now, probably at or approaching its peak. Fuller and richer than I expected. Perfect steak wine.

December 10, 2017 - Only the third vintage for the new owners, and it is obvious that things continue improving here. Medium bodied, and soft in texture, the dark red fruits offer the right levels of sweetness and freshness. The smoke, tobacco, fennel, and earthy notes add to the fruits and to the fun. However, this is fully mature and should be consumed before the wine hits 20 years of age.
