September 28, 2019 - This has been stored at ideal conditions since release. Popped and poured, it was enticing within five minutes and continued to improve for hours. Dark blood-red color with bright red edges, so not showing its twelve years of age. Very big nose of sweet cherries and plums. At first, very firm tannins which dissipated remarkably with air. Very savory, excellent acid and structure; long sweet cherry finish. On night two the wine was very similar, with slightly drying tannins. Remarkably delicious on night three, with intense plums and a savory flavor, but still with overly prominent tannins. Excellent QPR.

June 24, 2015 - Deep, dark typical Cahors color, does not show 8 years of age. Modest nose, vegetal, with aromas of red cherries. Nice acid level but strong tannins, puckering at first then dissipating over three hours. Medium sweetness, slightly astringent. Hints of oak, but not unpleasant.

This is a good Cahors and provides a nice level of pleasure, but it is a bit expensive (not a good QPR) and suffers from the typical weakness of Cahors wines - excessive green, vegetal aromas and flavors, excessive tannin. I will save my remaining bottles for 2017 and 2019 in the hope that something special can develop.
