December 25, 2023 - The most delicate strawberries on the nose and palate. Delicious.

May 23, 2020 - Hudelot-Noellat Tasting (Chicago): A delicious and textbook village Chambolle. Nicely refined with good fruit and classic iron/mineral character. Like the spice here too. Great value. Drinking excellent now and no reason to hold any longer but should age fine in the mid-term.

May 23, 2020 - Hudelot-Noellat Virtual Tasting (Planet Earth): Complex array of red cherry and berry with earth and spice hints. Texturally charming with a long, minerally, ferrous finish that I really enjoy. This will drink well for at least another decade.

August 2, 2019 - Red cherry and berry aromas and flavors with a good amount of earth. Elegant textures with a mineral finish I truly enjoyed. Getting slightly tired after open a few hours, but drinking well.

April 22, 2018 - Last of my remaining bottles. Straight from the bottle the nose is very promising. Lots og deep dark partially developed cherries, leather and some mushrooms. Rather elegant and with tons of powerful and sprouting scents. The palate is also in the sweet spot right now. Some acidity left from the vintage, but nicely integrated in the wine. A light and enjoyable mouthfeel. Very good, but not powerful or concentrated enough to compete with the higher tiers. A nice and floral fruit driven Chambolle. Very enjoyable now and for the next 5 years, at least.

    -nearly semi-translucent mild bricking
    -muted nose burg funk
-med acidity, med- weight good concentration faint dark red yet slightly tart fruit earthy simple slight oak, med/med- tannins
-not as focused as many other '08s and a bit clunky for Chambolle but overall good, this bottle probably at or near its prime

March 4, 2017 - Wine showed great for an 08 village wine. Good producer though.

February 9, 2017 - Red cherry aromas with moderate ripeness. Similar flavors with some berry and savory spice hints. Overall lean finish with good textures. Drinking well now, particularly with food, this should also hold well for at least five more years.

March 28, 2016 - Best aromatically. Very lean, tart and acidic on the palate. Not sure when, if ever, this will provide a better drinking experience; certainly not much to get excited about today....
