February 16, 2019 - Really nice and dangerously easy to drink. Upon opening, was a touch soft with a very very light hint of baked apple. Then, really blossomed, very liberal with great acidity and a lot of candied lemon. Great wine.

January 16, 2019 - One of my best whites of 2018, so precise with lots of cut, good acidiity, chalk and lemon. Insanely good at this level.

December 17, 2018 - Totally agree with the LittleHorse below. Quite a disappointing night for us on Roulot’s wines - three out of four bottles had issues.
Thankfully, the 2008 Les Meix Chavaux was great, on the nose, slightly reductive (which showed modest change in style recent years from Jean-Marc), citrus, herbal, chalk, and matchstick, on the palate, generous yellow stony fruits with great balance and tension, the acidity was very focused and precise, good structure for a village wine.
Les Meix Chavaux is at midhill in the village (around 250m height), and vines are around 50 years old, the plot is close to 1 h.a.

December 16, 2018 - This wine confirmed two points for me - firstly, that Roulot's Meursault's are some of the greatest white wines and have an amazing balance of not too piercing acidity, the right amount of reduction and fruit/mineral tension and with 'density' as BurgNick puts it. Secondly, that 08 is a very nice vintage for white Burgundy.

Sadly, at the periphery of this bottle were 3 other Roulot's (Tillets and Luchets) that were flawed with one in particular completely oxidized. It is emblematic of the white burgundy problem where the economics are turned upside down and the simple acceptance among collectors of this reality because when a good bottle is opened, it is all the more rare.

December 16, 2018 - Yellow fruit, minerals, chalk, matchstick and toast on the nose. Good density for a village. Very precise.
