    February 6, 2021 - Deep, structured Stags Leap red. Good tannins, Mouthfeel. Blackberry, trace of vanilla, chickoree.

    May 5, 2015 - This bottle wasn't as good as the first I tried. The wine had an earthy taste and smell I don't recall from the prior bottle. It got better after decanting. I would say to decant at least 4 hours.

    November 12, 2013 - This was a well balanced very nice bottle. The flavors were full rich but not over ripe dark fruit. This still had a nice freshness to it and could be held longer however this was drinking pretty well right now. Drink now to 2016

    March 14, 2013 - Recommend decanting for at least an hour. Very well balanced wine. Excellent aged fruit and soft tannins. Long finish. The wine has enough life for several more years in the cellar, but mine will be gone long before that.

    February 14, 2013 - Last bottle of this in my collection a sad day. Have grown to appreciate this effort more and more, although it definitely seems to be at a peak, with the tannins mostly faded at this point, I am not sure how much longer it will cellar. It has a fantastic flowery bouquet and a long silky finish.

    August 13, 2012 - Had it today at Tra vigne in Napa, was terrific. well integrated flavors, some light berry tones, nice tannin, lovely finish. Highly recommend it. Spent a great deal of time dwelling on the bouquet, and drank a lot less than I normally would. I think 14.5%, which is a moderate level for the cabs I drink (primarily CA cabs). I went out to the web and couldn't find anyone selling it.
