April 12, 2020 - 2007, 100% Syrah, from Ciel de Cheval... if you like a soft delicate bottle of wine, this might not be your best choice. However if you like a big ass, big taste full throttle wine... come on down...Drinking unbelievable right now. Big , inky black and blue fruit hitting you right in the face...just simply delicious. Looks like it still has plenty of life..

November 6, 2019 - This wine has knit together beautifully. Lots of blue and black fruits, a nice savory note, and still has good structure. It made me sit up and take notice.

July 23, 2019 - Inky maroon. Big bodied. Generous blackberry and plum fruit. A nice savory note on the plush, smooth finish. The underlying structure has melted into a well integrated finish. Drink now.

May 8, 2019 - Great, nose, fruit, balance and finish. Paired well with BBQ Ribs. I wish I had more of this wine.

(Grand Rêve Collaboration Series III Red Wine Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red Mountain) Purple in color. Closed up at present on a nose that shows chocolate, black fruit, raspberries, and floral notes. Remarkably restrained on a seamless palate marked by pretty red and black fruit. Give three years. 100% Syrah. Aged in French oak (34% new). 14.9% alcohol. 250 cases produced. Mark Ryan McNeilly (Mark Ryan) winemaker.
