April 24, 2015 - Ripple and Ridonculous Wines (Ripple - Cleveland Park - Washington, DC): Bright nutty, herbal, briny, yet full of fresh yellow apple and juicy peach fruit, notes of mineral, honey. Complex, long, so alive.

March 23, 2015 - Great wine! Very young. No heat from 2003 if there is such a thing in Jura as there was in Bugundy. Can age for a long time

September 20, 2014 - For SFJoe (Josefa & Mark's House - Chicago, IL): Nose of smokey nuts, some sweet lemon, and lots of florals. The palate was a bit tight at first and fleshed out a lot with time. The nutty profile was gorgeous and while some of the lemon and limes were a bit fatter, they still had nice balance and depth.

December 14, 2013 - The principal descriptor that sprung to mind for me when drinking this wine was "electric". Very mineral, of course, but it also seemed beautifully subtle for a vieux savagnin ouillé, not to mention one from 2003. I believe this was from the 3e mise but I'm not certain. I first tried it at the domaine, where I purchased this bottle, and it was the highlight of the tasting. The wine didn't suffer from the flight to London in my suitcase, although I was careful to leave it to settle for a few months. I imagine this great wine can age for many years. Opened the bottle in the morning and drunk it in the evening.

May 16, 2012 - Dinner with Sierra Doc (Copperopolis, CA): Color: Hazy golden/amber
Smell: Oxidative notes with an underlying note of floral hints, and pear cider
Taste: Oxidative on the palate with flavors of golden apple, honey, and dried apricot
Overall: Medium+ body, medium+ acidity, medium fruit, and a long finish. This was a great wine with food, but without food it was missing something for me. Excellent.
