March 13, 2020 - Fun to revisit 8 years later. nice balance. this feels more old world now (not to be mistaken with tired new world). fruit present, just secondary now. Tannins still going & well integrated! the secondary has become the primary: florals, tea, leather, etc. Spicy finish. Medium length. On the nose you still get a bit of chocolate and tar. No regrets popping this open now as it's definitely time for my palate (maybe a 1-2 years passed because I like a little more fruit). The tannins make me think this wine's journey will continue but not enough for me to hold.

October 6, 2014 - Decanted 4hrs, I am not a big Duckhorn fan in general, but was looking forward to this btl. Nice nose of tar and chocolate but really had a short finish, maybe needs some more time in the btl??

November 22, 2013 - Lush and full of black fruit and licorice. Drank along with an 09' Discussion and it was an interesting comparison. This 06' was quite tasty, and dominated by more black fruits and dark chocolate. Very layered with great silky texture. A big wine, and I love this series from Duckhorn.
