September 14, 2011 - "Non-Baller" Wines, Take 6 (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): this white rhone blend had an incredible dark honey color in the glass. i love the intensity of aromas on this wine. lots of pineapple, candied pear, apricot and even some lychee. the palate is very oily, and the alcohol does show a decent amount. baked apple flavors along with some cinnamon and white pepper. the nose is just wonderful, but the palate is a bit of a let down.

September 13, 2011 - While white rhone varietals have normally given me trouble at a young age, this was actually quite nice. Powerful nose of honey, citrus, herbs, and tangerine. Despite the powerful nose, the palate was elegant in comparison. It did show some alcohol, but the oily florals were really nice. Also had nice minerals and herbs.

December 12, 2010 - Notes from day one, served at 55 F.
Bright yellow gold in color.
Nose of white flower, pear, and some hazelnut, and fur.
Palate of lemon, a little white peach, cream, hazelnut, a little cave funk, and spice/white pepper.
Really reccomend serving this wine at 55 degrees as when it warms up the heat shows through, as is common with a lot of Rhone Blends.
Decent wine, but I have never been a fan of the Rhone whites and this shows why.
Finish is average, and the balance is decent for a larger wine.

June 18, 2010 - Notes from day 1. Poured at 55 degrees. Medium gold in color. Nose of a little white flower, bosc pear with a little minerality. On the palate there is good creaminess with some minerality, lemon cream, white grapefruit, little spice and white pepper on the tail. The finish is long in length due to the heaviness and there is enough acidity to make this nice and balance. Solid effort, but probably pushes it for the price IMO. Drink or hold. 50+5+11+17+7
