March 8, 2024 - Lovely nose with tar, dark cherries, ripe raspberries, violets, liquorice, earthy dust and a slight hint of meaty broth (91p).
Medium bodied in the mouth. Nice freshness/acidity and some tannins. Fairly sweet mature fruit notes, but perhaps less fruit than astringency. Long, slightly drying aftertaste. (89p)
Food wine. Appears mature and at its peak, drink within next 0-3 years. Total score 90 points.

February 11, 2024 - With the vineyard's and the producer's reputation mixed with the great vintage, this was straightly a disappointment. A smell of iron dominated the first half an hour. Gets better after around two hours.

October 6, 2023 - Flott flaske. Moden duft, tjære.nyper og lakris.
Utviklet i munnen, tørker frukt. Ganske syrlig avslutning, som kan tyde på at frukten begynner å forsvinne.

September 22, 2023 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass ("Leaf" day): Medium garnet to the eyes.

Great nose of floral-infused dark red cherry fruits. Earthy and tarry spices that is highly complex. Some hints of truffle and sweet soy sauce.

Needs some air time in bottle for the great elements to come together in my view.

    94-95 points at this stage.

c.1.5 hour upon opening, 3rd to 4th pour onwards with 1/2 bottle left: Opened up very nicely with better integration and focus. More towards 95 points alongside the great lineup tonight.

c.2.5 hours upon opening, last few pours: More sweet soy sauce notes emerged that is disrupting the overall balance on the flavor profile to me. Back to 94-95 points overall. This might be resolved with longer slow-ox pre-serving next time / cellerage?

August 11, 2023 - Double decanted for sediment in the AM, then decanted for a couple hours, and drunk that evening

Served with the Luigi Oddero 04 VR

After the first bottle being corked, this was a welcome change.

A terrific nose. Dark as much as red nebbiolo fruit, balsam, tar and some white truffle. A deep and engaging nose. Expansive yet only mid weighted on the palate, beautifully marrying power with grace. It's deep and thought provoking, multilayered on the palate. A wine with a lot going on, but I just chose to appreciate its symmetry rather than dissect its parts. A harmonious, effortlessly beautiful wine. Youthful, but already terrific. Much more to come in this wine. Wine of the night for me this evening.

January 9, 2023 - This was a great bottle and way better than my previous one. Fruit still a bit youthful, very classic Barolo, however not the mot powerful one. Great balance, tannins well integrated, could have been more complex. Quite elegant. Would have been interested so cellar them more, but are there some bottle variation on this wine?

    Perfect bottle!

November 4, 2022 - Tart berries, tea and some herbs on the nose. Barely fruit on the palate to balance the acids. Needs food, and was definitely a much more impressive wine in it’s youth…
