December 18, 2021 - DALEW is spot on with the assessment on this wine. I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of this about 4 years ago, and it over delivered for the entry price. Now, the fruit has mostly faded away leaving the acidity of the vintage at the forefront. Past its prime for sure. If you've got some bottles remaining, hopefully there's still a good one in the lot.

January 28, 2021 - I like light and delicate, but this is approaching thin, Strawberry and red cherry, any tannin hiding, good acidity. Pleasant enough but not a lot of gas left in the tank. B-

December 31, 2018 - Starting to get that Burgundy red bricking. Nose of forest floor, spice, cranberry and mineral. Palate has cherry, fresh crunchy cherry, unripe cherry, earth, hint of five spice, and plenty of the trademark 2008 acid. Nice showing. This paired well with ribollita. Excellent.

December 1, 2017 - PNP. cork perfect. color ruby with some signs of bricking at edges. nose has earth cranberry and a hint of five spice. swishing shows both acid and tannin that frame delicate fruit. finish a tad drying. sipping shows the glycerin side with polish but this is still a delicate wine. good alone, would be great with the proper match. not sure how long i would wait to drink, but judging from my note from 5 years ago this seems to be holding just fine.

    -semi-translucent mild bricking
-a bit of funk, red cherry
-med+ acidity, light body, tangy red fruits with SweetTart-like black cherry residue, on the simple side, med/med- tannins faint oak
    -light tangy and tasty
