June 10, 2023 - Drinking really well, plenty of fruit left with some attractive development

June 7, 2023 - Nick's 2008 Burgundy - Noize (Noizé, London): More red fruited than the Lavaux, with less evident oak. Medium bodied, red cherry fruit, spice, soft tannins, fersh acidity, good length harmonious finish. Excellent, drinking well.

June 7, 2023 - 2008 red Burgs (Noize): Put up against the Lavaux, and was not at all overawed. Very aromatic in a smoky, brambly way, the nose fanning out beautifully. Crisp and punchy on the attractively lean palate, with quite a bit going on: damp earth, summer pudding and a touch of game. Saline, like the Lavaux. Persistent, mineral, savoury finish. In a great place!

December 28, 2022 - So much better than the last bottle, a nicely maturing nose which is quite evocative, a little spicy, plenty of cherry fruit and interest, some satin like tannins remain on the backend giving some texture, well balancing acidity and a good length finish.on the basis of this bottle there are a good few years ahead

August 29, 2022 - This seems to need some air still to open, the nose never really showed up tonight. Decent stuff but the fruit’s fading now
