May 18, 2022 - sigh. this is decidedly underwhelming. it holds enough dark fruit against the abundant acid to become (potentially) a good wine for beef/lamb sandwiches with hard cheese on a picnic... now or 4-5 years hence. there is very very subtle earth, aromatically.
otherwise..... beef bourguignonne may be a proper use....

January 29, 2021 - Elegant, a bit fragile nose. Spicy and gently oaky. Red fruit, raspberry and a hint of gun-powder.
Medium body, soft tannins. Fully mature. Raspberry, red cherry, spice and some sandalwood. But quite tart finish. Typical 08 in that regard.
Not for further cellaring. But good now.

October 9, 2019 - Four fossil-rich parcels near the Brochon border planted in 1919. Old vines, many nearing 90 years of age. The name "Ostrea" refers to the oyster shells found in and around these parcels.
Austere, structured, very Gevrey, only starting to open. Very elegant.

November 17, 2018 - Loads of red fruits, still feeling surprisingly Young.
On the palate medium bodied, elegant, fred berries, cherries, some hints of leather, a bit spicy.

    June 15, 2017 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2
-nearly semi-translucent med red mild bricking
-moderately aromatic red fruits animale and a bit of maturity
-high acidity, med/med- weight and not all that deep but sappy dynamic sour cherry saline, med- tannins and faint oak signature on average length finish; picks up some meaty depth on day 2
-this is a bit out of balance now and not sure if this has the stuffing to continue to improve with the high acid structure being so dominant
