  April 3, 2010 - This wine is still young at age 10, and if you've kept it well, give it a long decant. Very pretty nose of tobacco, dried strawberry, brown sugar, mint, and black cherries macerated with citrus peel. Still quite tannic and grippy, with lipsmacking acidity that balances out the richness on the palate. I am impressed with how this wine has aged. DISCLAIMER: While I buy the Ronchi wines every vintage for my own cellar, I work for the U.S. importer and it is my job to sell them.

  October 24, 2008 - Starting to open up a little bit, with some smoky plum flavor emerging and a pretty floral component on the nose. Came across as darn right fruity next to a dried-out '98 Ceretto Bricco Asili Faset Barbaresco that we drank next to it. Drink now through 2011.
