November 9, 2019 - Tasted blind. Quick impression from a large tasting. Blackberries, mineral, touch of asparagus. But subtle nose overall. Dark fruit but with a glassy feel. Lots of grip. I wrote good potential but young!! Voted. Second fav on the day. I believe this wine garnered the most votes on the day. Showing pretty well and not even quite mature.

August 25, 2019 - Great wine and one of the better experiences I’ve had with a Rhys Pinot Noir. Saw another recent note indicating this had entered the drinking window and I completely agree. Structure is largely resolved and everything is in harmony.

August 20, 2019 - Rhys Dinner Following Rhys Tasting (Prairie Grass - Northbrook IL): Red cherry and berry with whole cluster spice, but more in the background (compared with 2009 Swan Terrace, where it dominated). Fully engaging aromas with red fruit, floral and spice elegantly intertwined, followed by similar flavors with ethereal textures. Better today vs last bottle from two years ago, I think this is entering its peak drinking window. Most people's top wine tonight, myself included.
