April 28, 2019 - Weird. Wine spritzed from bottle when opened. I did drop the bottle over the way to my friends house. Was afraid the bottle was flawed. But Tasted fine.

Nose is so dark...black cherry, pomegranate, vanilla coke and stems...definitely pointing to Nuits St. Georges.
Palate is so pure and layered....such dense fruit....spice, flowers, cola, stems, ginger, sassafras, herbs and menthol. Complex....and ready to be held for the long term...20+ more years easy.
Finish is long...so much going on.

No rush on these...hold for 5 years at least.....10 if possible.

February 13, 2019 - Wow this is really emerging as something special. 92 maybe is conservative. Lots of dark fruit and spice on the nose, dark rich palatable with loads of spice on the long finish, good balance. No heaviness on this for a lot of concentration.

    February 13, 2019 - I didn’t get the notes of other tasters.

For me, this wine was subtle and alluring. Dusty, earthy reddish fruit with wonderfully balanced and restrained acid. Silky mouthfeel yet filling and lush. Lingering complex notes of forest and boysenberry. Exotic spice on the nose with air. Really enjoyed.

January 2, 2019 - Probably the darkest, blackest pinot I've ever tasted. This is only from memory, but it had a huge amount of dark fruit, tons of vivid licorice-laden cola, and some light earth/ash. However, I agree with some other commenters that it's pretty closed and probably needs time- it feels like you have to struggle to get much out of it. It's pretty tannic as well and this obscures the palate. If opening now, decant.
An amazing wine though- tried at a friends' house- not sure I'd go for the high price myself, but it's certainly memorable.
