June 2, 2023 - A wonderful wine from one of the premier BC winemakers. Received this library bottle (2009, and it’s now 2023) as part of the wine club. I’m afraid of aging wines on my own since I’ve had a number go beyond “ready” to “vinegar”.

But, Osoyoos Larose has done the aging for me! And thank goodness for that.

This wine is full bodied, with medium tannins. Oak. Black pepper. Very ripe red fruit. Absolutely delicious and everything a Bordeaux-style blend should be.

Rivals any old world name brand, no problem.

October 13, 2022 - A seriously good Bordeaux blend that is aging gracefully.

June 26, 2021 - De mémoire. Cassis, menthol, poivron, un peu de cuir, torréfaction. Tannins présents sans être agressifs. Corps moyen, équilibré. Prêt à boire, très bien !

June 3, 2021 - It’s been a few years since I drank this last and it is holding up well.
Just poured a single glass via Coravin to enjoy with takeout morel mushroom specials from Allegra tonight.
Fortunately it is a pretty big glass as I am still enjoying this after the dinner is done. Some say I eat too fast.
I say that I drink too slow.
Very soft tannins on this mature wine and the fruit and acidity are in good balance that makes a nice pairing with this meal.

May 21, 2021 - Compared to the 2016 Osoyoos Larose. Decanted for 1 hour and revisited the next day.

Nose is very barnyard. A bit of smoke.

On the palate, you taste the earthiness, bruised cherries, sweet confection. Soft medium tannins. Long finish.

    Delicious.

    February 7, 2021 - No formal note.
I'd give this a 92 for sentimental reason, but I'll be strict. this is a beautiful wine that is at it's prime, with a couple years leeway. Smooth as silk and a gorgeous nose. Not as complex as the Painted Rock Red Icon I paired it with, but I loved it for different reasons. Super Bowl was a letdown, but the wine was outstanding!

January 7, 2021 - Such a brilliant wine that keeps getting better and better with each passing year. This is one of my favourite Canadian wines and have had a bottle each year for our anniversary beginning with the 2005 vintage. I am only missing the 2014!
