  November 18, 2015 - Even though some reviews suggested this was over the hill, we pnp'd this last night and it was lovely. Not a lot of depth but delicious and no hard edges. I wouldn't wait much longer but still good.

  April 14, 2014 - Menthol and light strawberry on the nose; dark fruit, raspberry, and a leather/tobacco note on finish. Whatever tannins were here have been integrated, leaving a well balanced medium-weight wine. This is not as powerful and long on the finish as some previous years, but at under $20 it's still a good value.

  December 23, 2013 - Deep ruby color and fast legs. Strawberry and a bit of alcohol nose. Tannins are a bit strong in the finish. Pairing this with a bit of truffled Gouda completely changed the taste. The cheese tamed the tannins and brought out a richness in the wine. Definitely better with some sort of food.

  October 11, 2013 - OK, this is not a serious wine. But it is a very good wine that is a cut above a simple quaffer. Tonight’s bottle was similar to my 12/16/12 note. Glad I have a couple more bottles left. Went very well with pasta and Marcella Hazan's simple, delicious tomato sauce.
