March 18, 2010 - Coral-salmon coloured. Slightly sour, tart, crisp nose with an underlying depth of flowers (magnolia?) and fruit (strawberry all the way, maybe wild strawberries).

Velvety smooth entry leads to muddled fruit - I can't really pick out individual notes, and they're not bright - I suspect this is a tad past its peak, age-wise. The strawberry still, maybe, and actually that creamy, rich magnolia floral note stands out the most to me here. The mid palate and finish remind me more of a white that's seen oak, almost Chardonnay-like - this has some substantial body and apple, pear, vanilla notes and a bit of citrus zest on the short finish.

Fine, but unexceptional and mostly uninteresting. I'm bumping its rating to what I think it would have been a year or two ago; now I'd rate it about 84-85.
