December 20, 2018 - Lush. No hard edges.
August 31, 2014 - Fruit has become somewhat muted. Tastes decent enough, but not great. Drink up.
June 7, 2014 - This was much lighter bodied than the typical zin. Lots of pine and moss notes, which I could imagine someone not liking, but I liked a lot.
August 4, 2013 - With beef brisket and corn bread.
April 6, 2013 - Rich vanilla and dark fruit nose. Well integrated palate. This is probably at its peak drinking now. Nicely balanced flavors. Medium plus finish. Cocoa, blackberry compote. Deep, intense, silky.
February 1, 2013 - clear, maroon, in color. dark fruit, cranberry, blackberry, earth, mushrooms, spice, pepper, tobacco, leather, caramel, lightly toasted, oak, on the nose. light acid, light to medium tannins, on the finish.
December 10, 2012 - This isn't as good as the Ridge Buchignani Ranch Zins I have had recently from the same vintage. Has subdued nose of red and black fruits. Initially smelled of oak , but that blew off fairly quickly. A bit of alcohol is sticking out on this. I have one bottle left.
September 9, 2012 - Fairly light-bodied for a Zin, with cherry notes and just a touch of warm spice. Nicely softened tannins on the back end. Very enjoyable.
September 8, 2012 - enjoyed
June 15, 2012 - Rich, juicy zin. Nose is full of dark fruit and spice. Opulent, full body. Well-integrated, moderate tannins that linger in the finish without being overly drying. Drinks nicely now, but may have a couple years yet before hitting its peak.
