February 11, 2023 - Bought in Vermont. 13.8% ABV
Color: dark red/brown with viscous legs
Nose: medium to full intensity. Complex aromas of dried red fruits and berries. Some leather and cedar.
Body/flavor: medium/full body. Complex flavors of dried red fruits and berries. Lush mouthfeel with good acid balance.
Aftertaste: lingering finish

December 10, 2021 - The final bottle from a case bought at release. Cork completely crumbled at opening. For the tough '98 vintage, this wine was a much better than average bottling. Tart cherry with vibrant acidity at this stage - keeping it bright and lively. Mostly red fruits, tart and puckering.

August 3, 2020 - I was somewhat apprehensive at opening, in view of the bottle age. Cocoa, dark berries, some lingering oak in the background. Delicious.
