    June 7, 2008 - amazing well aged bottle. The cork desintegrated during the opening and had to run through a metal screened areater, removed the cork. Aromas of stewed plums, canned tomatoes and very ripe cherry. great dark red with a clear miniscus at the edges of the glass. Tastes of meat, smoke, loamy decaying wood. Fruit takes a back seat, mostly of cranberries and cherry/ very enjoyable, would buy again. a lot going on

    Great tastes of dried sour cranberries, red apples, planks of dry wood, with a tart dry medium finish followed by a lush mouthfeel. Nose opened up after 1 hour of decanting. Very rich satisfying and round. The cork was in great shape, minimal penetration. I have one other I am looking forward to sharing. Bricking around the edges. I can catch the nose wafting over to me from the table. paid 26 dollars at auction. Had this with braised lamb shanks,

    January 5, 2007 - Well-aged CDP, not at all tired. When opened taste and aroma primarily cherry and other red fruit. Not decanted. Over 2 hours or so, flavors migrated to soy sauce and spiced meat. Quite funky at the end. Quite a treat.

    April 30, 2005 - 1990 and older Ch√Ęteauneuf-du-Pape offline at Kaspar's (Seattle, WA): Showing somewhat oxidized and a bit tired. The palate greets you with ample barnyard and a mouthful of sweet grenache, very pure and very dry.
