April 15, 2020 - Ruby with slight bricking. Muted aroma. Diminishing red fruits. Smooth, balanced, medium body with round tannins. Drink up.
March 22, 2020 - Dark cherry with faint hint of orange around the edge. Wood and tobacco with touches of mint and blueberry on the nose. Nicely balanced, but relatively short to mid-palate fnish....not much cellar life left for this one.
February 17, 2019 - Great chocolate post-nosal
February 7, 2019 - Mineral driven with a touch of strawberry cherry and vanilla bean. Beautiful in texture.
Needs to be drunk.
October 31, 2018 - Unwise to lose this for two years. Think this 2005 Brunello should be drunk up, at least based on this showing. Bright colour, but showing definite bricking. Nose is mature, leather and wood. Palate is dry, medium length, still some sweet fruit, but mainly drying out. Still tasty though.
February 28, 2018 - Tasted blind and was ranked WOTN by the group.. 1/10.
Soft red fruit, med acidity and tannins. clearly mature and ready.
i'm not sure this was all that stunning as much as it was the least 'unusual'. all the other wines had some punishing characteristics, but this wine just drank easy and well.
February 17, 2018 - Perfect with prime rib great news
July 31, 2017 - That better over the night nice nice news
July 11, 2017 - Nice wine, but bland brunello features
June 28, 2017 - Think I picked this up from Costco, which would account for not being in my inventory. This was decent, good even, but not with the extra intensity that I expect. Well balanced with nice earth, leather and tobacco notes over cherry fruit. Solid wine.
After two night airing. This was much better, deeper and richer with the intensity that was lacking two nights ago. Still showed nice acidity and balance. Upgrade to 90.
