August 12, 2013 - Good oak but low fruit.

August 17, 2012 - - Garnet color - This bottle took some time to gain my affection. Unlike the other experiences from the elegant 2008 vintage, this wine at first masqueraded as a Syrah wannabe when first opened. I was confused, by the dark color, long legs and bigger body. It was enjoyable, but transformed after 90 minutes or so into a rich, more traditional pinot from warmer yet still elegant vintages. I enjoyed it alot after I accepted what it was. Long, herbal and peppery finish - this wine goes well with a wide range of foods. Fresh garden veggies on the grill, Asian spiced salmon, even garlic beef. This wine can hold its own. I'll get another 2-3 bottles to lay down for 2-3 years and then open it with several others from the '08 harvest. No doubt it will be on the far end of flavor and punch, but I expect it will also bri g enjoyment.

July 7, 2012 - Nicely balanced, fruit and oak with just enough acid. The nose promises and the palette delivers, reflects the '08 vintage.

July 4, 2011 - Still young. Decanted for three plus hours. Try again in 2013.
