May 19, 2015 - Not nearly ready. Hold for another 5 years.

September 10, 2012 - Slow ox'd for 3 hours. The nose on the wine was pretty beguiling. It smelled like a mix of cherries, raspberries and spice, with a slight earthy component in the background. On the palate it was as if someone put cherries, raspberries, pomegranate seeds, blood orange, a scoop of gravel, and some chalk in a Vita-mix and hit go. Medium acidity and medium/light color, nice viscosity and mouth feel punctuated by some tannins and a slight bitterness on the finish; no discernible oak. This wine came off a quite transparent and was definitely more terroir driven than fruit driven even though the range of fruit components was impressive. Seems like this could smooth out just a bit more and since it opened up so much more with air time I'd give this at least a few more years for peak enjoyment.

August 15, 2011 - The bottle opened up with a flowery aroma and hints of cherries; very elegant. Used a Vinturi on serving. Light ruby color, clear and transparent appearance. Very soft on the palate, although the tannins are present. After 2 hours of slow consumption, traces of red fruits, flowers, earth and hints of truffles began to emerge. Medium finish. Convinced it has more to offer with another 3 - 5 years of bottle age. Charming wine.
