Community Tasting Notes 1

January 7, 2014 - Champagne and Pinot Noir Tasting: Couldn't figure out what to make of this wine. The nose was wacky showing spearmint and anise/licorice. Ethereal and with minimal fruit. Equally wacky on the palate, with a great lightness/elegance, but again more secondary flavors than fruit. Multiple people picked it as wine of the flight, so it's uniqueness wasn't necessarily all bad.
