January 8, 2014 - Funky, natural, rustic nose. Nice, medium body in the glass. Spices and red fruit on the palate. Great QPR!
June 20, 2012 - Dark fruits, earth/tobacco notes, needed time to open up but still drinking well and you can't beat the QPR!
March 8, 2012 - Incredibly acidic in the beginning but after some time mellowed out.
January 2, 2012 - Modern, delicious. Dark fruit but balanced.
October 13, 2011 - Delicious wine. Dark fruits, tobacco, earth. Nice acid, low tannin. Nice QPR, even if a little short on the nose.
September 10, 2011 - Floral nose. Big initial taste but ends thinly. Not a bad wine for casual consumption not for a spectacular dinner.
August 17, 2011 - Sweet floral nose with red fruit. Medium mouthfeel. Light acid and tannins. Shortish finish. Red fruit on the palate.
July 25, 2011 - Drank it during this latest heatwave, and my rating of it probably is affected by the fact that rustic reds are not particularly thirst-quenching/appropriate for this weather ... quite tannic and contains decent concentration for a daily drinker, but lacked that tuscan cherry component and possibly a little too modern for my tastes.
July 25, 2011 - A nice bottle. Good QPR. hint of cherry, good acid
July 20, 2011 - A little barnyard funk on the nose with the pnp. Burst of strawberry and bing cherry on the palate. Nice tannins. Nice acidity. Finish is a little short. (would have scored an 88 with a little longer finish.) I'll agree with the other TNs: "rustic". I like it. Well worth the $12 paid.
Edit: It def opened up more since I posted my TN. Also, as time has progressed, the fruit fades a bit and the acid is more pronounced. Lowering from 87 to 86 pts.
