Dark black cherry, bright blue fruit, spice, youthful, bright and evolving. opens up in the glass; complex, powerful, and great depth with tight spiny tannins. Decant or wait a few years. Excellent stuffing. -

December 26, 2022 - 1st of 12, decanted an hour, perfect cork and level - dark, glossy slightly transparent ruby, little development; attractive, cherry, earth, sous bois, hint of spice, clean and pure if not particularly complex; medium, ok length and persistence, bit angular as yet, acid lift, early days, upside, 15+ years. At least F (17.5).

July 29, 2022 - Burgundy WIMPS 2022 - Corrèges table (La Trompette): Hmm... I usually note (and very much enjoy) a particular blackcurranty Grivot fruit signature, but that was missing here. Instead, although there was definitely some sweet reddish fruit, there was lots of tannin, smoke, and ashy black cherry. Long but slightly drying finish. Presumably still a bit young and closed up.
