January 5, 2023 - I love this wine & the winery. Since my visit in early 2000 when i did a tour, luncheon & tasting of many vintages back to 1961 I have loved this wine. I don't know if it's the wine or my memories, but I can't stop appreciating Pichon Lalande. The 09 have has dark beautiful fruit, lovely color, a great month feel with beautifully integrated tannins.

December 3, 2022 - Going off memory but was underwhelming compared to pedigree, vintage, and reviews. The nose was reticent. Taste was indistinguishable. Tannins were fine. Decanted over 2 hours and drank over 2 hours. I'm wondering if the food overpowered the wine, or if it needed more time to open up.

November 26, 2022 - International Congress of Chinese Cuisine and Wine 2022 Masterclasses (Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore): Medium-dark ruby. Silky tannins tannins with slightly baked dark fruits in its profile. I preferred the freshness that was found in 2016 and 2019 instead

November 26, 2022 - Tasted this wine at the Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande Masterclass during the International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine at the Goodwood Park Hotel.
Poised, with good intensity, well structured and loaded with refined power. Surprisingly refreshing; a modern wine made in superb terrior under the hands of an excellent wine maker makes this a fantastic wine.

November 26, 2022 - Nose is still closed. Hints of ripe black fruits, graphite, tobacco, licorice and earthy spices after sometime in the glass. Palate echoed the nose. Equally shy but with good structure, depth and length on a medium to full-bodied palate. Transition to the finish is clean and full. Still need more time for the wine to open up. Decant for an hour if you are drinking now. A wine build for decades. 92-94 pts.
