December 24, 2021 - Immediately out of the bottle, smelled like bleu cheese, off-putting. Color was pretty light red to slight browning around the edge. Clear. Palate was just dead, tannic and hot. Seemed either corked, oxidized or just past. But the cork was close to pristine. Has been in temp controlled cellar since release / purchase. After 60 minutes and an aeration, it did open up on the palate. Actually got sweet and jammy. But maybe too much so. Aroma was still off-putting.

November 4, 2018 - Seemed to be new world style. Heavy and dense. A decent amount of wood. I liked it, but not really what I was expecting.

October 21, 2018 - Solid effort. Probably would have been better fully decanted. Seemed a little tight, but good earthy notes on the nose and palate.

November 4, 2017 - Perfectly aged barolo. Roses, baking spices, leather, sour cherry. Feminine and pretty and a joy to drink. I bought second hand for a great price and would buy a case if given the chance. Will probably taste this good for years.

June 2, 2015 - Fine Barolo but a little too simple to wow me. Much better after 4 hour decant. Too tight and light when opened. Deepened in color, texture and fruit with air. At it's best it had sweet red fruit in a balanced package. Smooth with some velvety mouth-feel. Complexity was not there for me but a pleasant drink.
