November 2, 2019 - Regular dinner group. Many wines based on the book “1001 wines you must try before you die”. (By EM @ Bottles): What an extremely sad story this is. Dark berries and celery in the bouquet. On the palate the same impressions, soy and chocolate. The only explanation I have is that must be a very seriously mistreated bottle. E.g. In the shop window with direct sunlight for a long time. What an extreme pity for this outrageous expensive bottle.

    No score.

September 20, 2019 - Powerful, full-bodied, youthful, mouth filling and packed to gills with layers of dark, red and black fruits, the wine is big. But it is also balanced, long, deep, regal and complex. Made from blending 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Franc, the finish does not seem to quit. The texture is equally dense and regal, with layer after layer of smoky, tobacco infused fruit. This is still a baby. Give it 10-15 more years and this will be a truly majestic wine.

July 18, 2019 - Bordeaux Night in the Santa Ynez Valley (An Anonymous Winery's Gorgeous Cellar Table): Impossible to rate as the wine remained unyielding, dense and shut down over a nearly 12-hour period. Massive structure here. Some notes of kirsch, plum, smoke, truffle and tar. Please wait!
