April 18, 2024 - Needs about 1 hr in decanter and then ready to go. Modern styled Bordeaux with bigger legs and dark fruit: blackberries, blueberries, tobacco, coffee, chocolate, and tar on the nose, palate smoothened after decant, similar dark fruit, licorice, tobacco and chocolate on the palate with slightly edgy tannins, however balanced and decadent. Medium slightly bitter finish. Good wine.

February 25, 2024 - Very good Margaux. Open for business after a hour decant. Good dark color, lovely bouquet plums, leather and pencil shavings. Full body and mouthfeel, setting quite a muscular tone. Lush ripe fruit, blackberry, coffee and spice underpinned with a veneer of oak. Long finish with smooth tannins. Modern’ish style and I’m not sure how it’s going to evolve so I would be tempted to drink up over the next few years.

February 9, 2024 - Beautiful, fragrant Margaux perfume on the nose, with lovely graphite notes. Nicely balanced fruit and cedar on the palate. Medium-long finish. Give this one an hour in the decanter and enjoy. Has some time ahead of it, but is drinking nicely now.

December 30, 2023 - Delicious with Margaux hallmarks. On opening, dark red in color with an open nose. Pinch of sediment. Already pleasant to drink with good balance and an earthy finish. After a couple of hours of decanting it revealed the subtly floral character I typically associate with Margaux. Perfect pairing with a seared lamb chop.

August 28, 2023 - Already delicious despite the fact that it's a bit young, although displayed more than just primary fruit, so no harm to pop one right now. A gamey nose of blackberry and blueberry and blackcurrant. The tannins are ripe and well managed, no excess alcohol and acidity is right on point. Solid and elegant Margaux. Long life ahead as expected but is already great at this early stage.

August 1, 2023 - Bordeaux 2009 and 2010 comparison (Praelum Wine Bistro): Deep ruby. Aromas of ripe red cherry, redcurrant, and hay. Quite some tannin structures which softened a little with breathing, with cherry and redcurrant flavours, as well as dill and fennel, then a bit of clove and nutmeg spices. A pretty good length. Well made wine! Best to have a few more years of ageing though
