March 17, 2020 - Massive! Deep purple; nearly black color. It provides a mouthful of cassis with black & blue berries, dark roast coffee, plus black pepper and Asian spices. It has some light vanilla notes with subtle oak and a 20 - 30 second finish. High alcohol but it's not too hot. Decanting was not necessary. I really wish I had more of this wine - it's so much fun!

April 21, 2017 - Clear deep park red. Clean nose of black fruit and vanilla. Dry, med+ body, med acidity, soft tannins, big jammy wine even at 7 years, med+ finish. This is a big wine. Had this with chicken, but would have paired better with BBQ or a steak. This might not be a wine for everyone. It is an example of a big Aussie wine, but it still has lot going on and is very nicely made wine.

February 15, 2016 - Big fun, black cherry, tar, smoke and bright red currant on the finish. Better the second time around the next day

November 17, 2014 - Very bold up front. Finish faded more quickly than I would have expected. Dark berry, earthy. Kind of a flavor explosion up front.

March 28, 2014 - Spice, cassis, red cherry, and vanilla. Rich, long finish.
