October 12, 2015 - This is more or less an exceptional table wine. Will drink over the next five years, but not much room for improvement

May 24, 2014 - 2009, 2010 Cotes du Rhones; 5/24/2014-5/25/2014: Coravin'd into a glass and tasted 2 hours later. Medium dark crimson with purple highlights and a thin clear rim. With a bit of coaxing the nose shows smoke, wild herbs and black fruit notes. Nicely viscous with bright, well balanced flavors of black and red fruits, sweet spices and savory herbs. Well integrated tannins provide structure and length to the long somewhat hot finish. Drinking very well now but has the structure to hold and perhaps improve at bit. Drink now to 2016.

January 2, 2014 - Nice Cotes - nothing special, but a nice red. Probably would have been great with food, very nice for sipping on its own.

December 27, 2013 - Better than previous bottle. Opens up on the second day with plummy fruit and very good acidity.

October 31, 2013 - Despite being rated as "ready to drink", this one took three full hours to open up after decanting. Was overly tannic with inadequate depth/fruit to offset at first; after three hours, came into better balance. Still not outstanding, but pleasant.
