The palate confirms the black plum, pepper, and raspberry on the nose. Faint notes of cacao powder ride on the back of this wine’s dusty tannins, with brown sugar and vanilla bean giving a baked good-like quality to the finish. Completely dry, but ripe and kitchen spice toned, this is an interesting wine that would be a good match to dry rub barbecue or a variety of roasted dishes.
