April 15, 2024 - Still some deep ruby. Heading a little toward garnet. Intense fruit. Rich and rounded. Blackcurrant. Long. Warming baking spices in evidence: vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Full bodied. Warming but not hot. Good structure. Still there but integrated. This is drinking really well now, but I think will still age nicely. Still primary and secondary. Yum.
PS it benefited a lot from a good decant- 1hr plus. Some of the riper notes do blow off and soften, which is benefit. It does show riper fruit for sure than some vintages. -

February 27, 2024 - In a really good spot. Squeaky clean, polished Bordeaux. Not overdone, however, and not easily confused with Napa or new world Bdx blends. Very nice acidity. Soft tannins. Long, fruity mid palate and finish. Fantastic QPR.

Opaque ruby core - touch of purple still - narrow pale ruby rim. Nose is a touch closed at first, opened up as it warms to show ripe blackcurrant fruit, vanilla, touch of cedar. Medium/full bodied, ripe black fruit, soft, round tannins, this is plush, even voluptuous with moderate acidity and a good length harmonious finish. It's cretianly ripe and fruit forward but just about in balance and very easy to enjoy. Drinking now, no hurry.
